Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - Level 1

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori based approach to the Religious Education of Children. It is rooted in the Bible, the Mass and the educational principles developed by Maria Montessori. Children gather in a special room called the "Atrium" to nurture their relationship with God.

Our atrium is located in the lower level of the St. Veronica parish office, located at 353 E. Norwich St.

What Do Children Learn?

Level 1 children spend time discovering Jesus as the Good Shepherd.

They learn that the Shepherd knows His sheep by name, searches for lost sheep and celebrates a found sheep.

Materials (called works) and presentations on the life and teachings of Jesus make Him more understandable and accessible.
